This slide shows the equity entry modes in a new market. There are several types of partnerships that bring both pros and cons. Franchising brings shared risks as pros, but also not enough autonomy as cons; Strategic alliance - low investment as a positive outcome, and take over of the best employees as a negative. The joint venture is a great strategy for a temporary arrangement, however, it can bring a clash of cultures, and having your own subsidiary gives you full control but it's a very high investment.
