Reviews
Description
Matrix Organizational Chart – Horizontal Departments
Slide Content
The slide presents a "Matrix Organizational Chart – Horizontal Departments," showing the structure of an organization where departments are arranged horizontally and intersect with various projects vertically. This matrix format represents the dual-reporting relationships in a typical matrix organization. Departments (A through E) are listed on the y-axis, and projects (1 through 3) are along the x-axis. Units tagged with "Unit X" are placed where departments contribute to the corresponding projects, illustrating multiple lines of authority and communication pathways. A comments section is indicated, suggesting a place for annotations or notes about specific project interactions.
Graphical Look
- The slide's title is set in a large bold font at the top.
- There is a graphical representation of a matrix chart with gray headers labeled "Management" and "Areas" and three columns titled "Project 1", "Project 2", and "Project 3".
- Five horizontal rows represent departments, labeled as Dept. A to Dept. E.
- Colored boxes marked "Unit X" are aligned with rows and columns to denote involvement or responsibility.
- Two purple arrows point towards a "Management" bar on the left and a "Comments" circle on the right, drawing attention to these areas.
- The design incorporates a mix of blue and green colored boxes for visual distinction.
- The slide uses varying shades of blue, creating a professional and clean aesthetic.
The slide is visually organized with a clear matrix structure that employs color coding to distinguish different units. The simplicity of the design focuses the viewer's attention on the structural relationships between departments and projects.
