Reviews
Description
Example Diagram: 3 Application Levels Structure
Slide Content
This PowerPoint slide depicts the three-tier architecture commonly used in application development, which breaks down into the Presentation Layer, Application Layer, and Data Layer. The Presentation Layer includes technologies like HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS, which are used for creating user interfaces. The Application Layer lists programming languages such as JAVA, .NET, C#, Python, and C++, which serve as the logic area where data is processed. Finally, the Data Layer contains databases including MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and MongoDB, which are used to store and manage data.
Graphical Look
- The slide title is set in a dark teal font color at the top.
- There are three stacked rhomboid shapes arranged vertically, with connecting lines leading to text blocks to the right of each shape.
- The shapes and the connecting lines are in shades of blue, green, and teal.
- Each text block is accompanied by an icon that visualizes the respective layer, such as a monitor for the Presentation Layer, code brackets for the Application Layer, and a database symbol for the Data Layer.
The slide has a modern and clean design, using geometric shapes to represent the different application layers. The use of icons aids in visually distinguishing between the layers, and the connecting lines create a flow that is easy to follow.
Use Cases
- Explaining software architecture during a development team meeting.
- Presenting a proposal for a software solution to non-technical stakeholders.
- Training new IT employees on the basic structure of applications they will be working with.
- Outlining the tech stack for a project in a project kickoff meeting.
